Dear Friends,

Get your dancing shoes ready! After a busy summer releasing their debut album, Philly's own SNACKTIME performs at the Night to Fight Hunger: Sights and Sounds of Philly on October 20th. Born out of the pandemic and now a Philadelphia music scene staple, this brass-heavy 7-piece band will provide a soul-energizing soundtrack for the evening.

When you aren't dancing along with SNACKTIME, enjoy dinner from Di Bruno Bros., bid on our silent auction, challenge other Hunger Fighters to yard games, and more! We hope you'll join us for what's sure to be an electric evening, and help us gather the support and resources we need to build food security across the Philadelphia region!

Can't attend?

Every donation makes a difference. Help us build a community where all people have the food they need to lead healthy lives.

We’re looking for volunteers!

Shifts at the Night to Fight Hunger take up about half of the event. Volunteers will enjoy free admission to the remainder of the event plus dinner. Click below to send us an email stating your interest!

Policy and Advocacy

Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) Summer UPDATE: We have exciting news to share. While we know it’s now fall, Pennsylvania’s summer 2022 P-EBT plan has been approved! These benefits will help families cover the cost of school meals that their eligible children missed out on during the summer months. Eligible children will receive benefits in a single payment of $391 to cover the entire summer. To learn more about Summer P-EBT eligibility and payment distribution, visit our website.

  • To learn more about P-EBT for school aged kids in the 2021-2022 school year, which was distributed to families to purchase food to replace free or reduced-price meals that eligible students missed due to COVID-19 related absences, check out our P-EBT Basics Flyer or download translated versions of the flyer, here

Public Charge Rule UPDATE: On September 8, the Biden Administration published a final Public Charge Rule, which confirms eligible immigrant families can access and benefit from the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children), Medicaid, and housing assistance without negative repercussions to their immigration status. Learn more, and download our SNAP Eligibility For Immigrant Families Flyer, here

White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health: A date for the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health has finally been announced! As a reminder, the White House is hosting this conference with the goal of ending hunger and increasing healthy eating and physical activity by 2030. It’s been more than 50 years since the first and only White House Conference on Hunger, which led to the expansion and creation of programs like SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), school meals, and WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children). This year, the conference will be held on Wednesday, September 28th and will be livestreamed to ensure that everyone can participate. We hope that you will all participate in this important event!

We are looking for the next Hunger Fighter to join our team as a Community Food Resource Coordinator.
