I wish I could say winning this race will be easy, friend – but Republicans will stop at nothing to take back the Senate, and I'm getting worried. Here's what I'm up against:

Marco Rubio and the Senate Republican campaign arm raised a combined $105 million in just the last few months, and deep-pocketed Republican megadonors aren't going to stop pouring money into the race for Senate control.

$600 million. That's the astronomical amount expected to be spent on political ads in Florida – which would make this the most expensive Senate race EVER. 

And right now, I'm falling 187 Florida Defenders short of what I need to keep pace. If I can't meet my goal, I won't have the critical resources I need to win. And with our majority hanging on by just ONE seat, that means we're at risk of Mitch McConnell regaining Senate control.

Missing even one fundraising deadline is not an option. Political experts are reporting that my biggest hurdle is raising enough money to compete with Marco Rubio, because he and the GOP are coming into this race with major advantages in voter registration and organization. 

Just 10,033 voters decided Florida's last Senate race, friend. With margins that thin, every single dollar I can raise to register Democrats to vote, run phone banks and knock on doors could make the difference between winning and losing on Election Day.
