John, Yesterday, constituents in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District filed a complaint against Representative Scott Perry, a key player in the effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election. The complaint was filed with the House Committee on Ethics, which will decide whether to establish an investigative subcommittee that could ultimately expel Perry from Congress. Perry was instrumental in Trump’s attempt to replace the acting attorney general with Jeffrey Clark, a firm believer in the Big Lie and election fraud. Last month, the Justice Department seized Perry’s phone as part of its ongoing criminal investigation into the use of fake electors to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Representative Perry’s months-long attempt to subvert a democratic election justifies an immediate Ethics Committee investigation. His involvement in what a federal court has already described as a criminal conspiracy isn’t just a matter for prosecutors--his behavior violates the House’s ethics rules and may justify expulsion. We are proud to join Indivisible in representing these constituents, and we will keep you informed as the complaint moves forward. Read the full complaint here. In solidarity, Free Speech For People |
