Jack, "threats to democracy" has emerged as the top issue for voters, according to a recent poll. In the wake of January 6 and Republicans' extreme delusions about the Big Lie, it's definitely one of my top issues.

But there's something you can do about it right now. Trump-endorsed election deniers are running for secretaries of state, a position that oversees and safeguards our elections in many states. These candidates want to use that office's power to override the will of the American people and dictate their preferred outcomes. If MAGA conspiracy theorists actually win the election in November, they will be a direct threat to our democracy.

The best thing we can do to safeguard our democracy is elect secretaries of state that not only have the integrity to protect and expand our access to the ballot box but also respect the will of the people.
