About The Movie
Lifemark is the Kendrick Brothers' latest movie. It is based on the true story of a young man named David who learns that he was adopted as a baby. He then goes on a search to find his birth mother who jumped from the abortion clinic exam table to choose life for him.
The Kendricks produced and filmed it right here in Georgia - and who says the film industry is leaving over the Heartbeat Bill? ;)
About The Story
David’s powerful story is one of hope, love, and God’s incredible grace. This is the first film based on a true story made by the Kendricks. But, when you watch it, you’ll know why they chose this story.
David actually first shared his story through the Louisiana Right to Life pro-life oratory contest. This led to our friends at LRTL producing a documentary called “I Lived On Parker Avenue”, which followed his journey to meeting his birth parents for the first time.
About GLA and Lifemark
Once production began on Lifemark, the Kendricks reached out to GLA and asked us to come down to the set. We were so humbled and eager to come down to Columbus and see what they were up to.
We spent an entire day with Stephen, Alex, and Shanon Kendrick hearing about why they chose to turn this story into a feature film. Then we spent time with Kirk Cameron learning about why he was so passionate about being part of this project. We got to preview what had been filmed so far for the first time along with the real life families from the story. We toured the set and watched them film the powerful moment that David’s mother flees the abortion clinic.
Then, we were humbled to be asked three things from the Kendrick Brothers:
They asked us to weigh in and help them name the movie (as you can tell - we chose Lifemark!);
They asked us to film reviews and testimonials of the film to help promote it to churches around the nation;
And they asked our Senior Policy Advisor, Joshua Edmonds, to spend an hour recording a podcast on pro-life apologetics. They would then use that podcast to train the cast and crew how to discuss this important topic as they promote the film worldwide.
Help Spread The Message
We are so honored to be part of this film. We believe this story will impact countless hearts and minds as we continue to build a pro-life culture in Georgia. But we need your help to spread the message by getting this film into as many communities as possible. Here’s what you can do:
Buy tickets, go see it on Friday during the premier, and tell all your friends and family to do the same! Then, encourage as many folks at your church this Sunday to get together and go see it AGAIN next week!
Host a screening with GLA. We will coordinate hosting a private or buyout screening with Pastors and ministry leaders in your community. There, we can share about the importance of this powerful pro-life message and get more people to the theaters!
Buyout a showing of Lifemark in your community and give away tickets to folks who need to hear this message of life and adoption!
Donate to GLA to help us buyout showings of Lifemark around the state and invite Pastors and ministry leaders to see the film.
It’s critically important that we show the mainstream media that pro-life films can be successful at the box office. So be sure to at least get your tickets today!
Be praying for the Kendricks and the stars of the film as they endure the attacks from the abortion industry for releasing this film. And be praying for fertile soil in hearts and minds across the nation as they hear this pro-life message - perhaps for the first time!
With God’s grace, we will win this culture one movie showing at a time!
Together for life,
