Hi John,
Today, President Trump is poised to become the third president in history to be impeached. Voter suppression runs rampant with Georgia and Wisconsin purging of hundreds of thousands of votes, conveniently right before the 2020 election.
Although our democracy is under attack, we’re so inspired by the communities of color, young people, and queer and trans folks who aren’t backing down. Instead, they’re getting louder — organizing across the country to protect our democracy and save our planet.
We’re with them — and we’re doubling down on our efforts to train as many of these leaders with everything we’ve got so that we can have social, racial, and economic justice for all.
But here’s the catch: it's always tougher to raise in an "off year" like 2019. And so far, we're running a little behind compared to this same time last year. I need your help. Chip in $5, $10, $50 today — whatever you can — to help us hit the ground running in 2020. [link removed]]
From training the next generation of data and digital strategists; campaigners and organizers; future and current elected officials; to supporting the strategy of reproductive justice organizers on the front lines — re:power will be here, using our platform to reflect and build the brilliance of our movement.
We’re updating our curriculum, building up our national trainer roster, developing new partnerships with organizers across the country looking to protect their families from deportation, police brutality, extreme laws set on banning abortions. And we’re still training people who want to run for office or work for candidates that share their values.
I’ll stop there - you get the point. No matter what happens, we’re here. We’re working hard and we need your help to make sure we have the resources we need to develop leaders across the country.
Invest in re:power today. Together, let’s head into 2020 ready to give it all we’ve got to win for our communities.
