March for Life next week!! - See confirmed line-up of speakers ()
[link removed]

We are delighted to announce the line-up of speakers for next weekend’s March for Life in Dublin.

Autumn Lindsey, spokesperson for Students for Life of America will give the keynote address. Rachel Mackenzie will share her personal story about how abortion impacted her life and the need for changes to be made to ensure women are fully informed about positive alternatives prior to any abortion taking place.

We are also thrilled to confirm that Carol Nolan TD, Dr Brendan Crowley, Katie Ascough and Jessica Tear will also be addressing the March.

The timing of the March on Saturday 17th September is particularly important as it coincides with the Government’s 3-Year Review of the abortion law nearing its end. We are asking families and pro-life supporters of all ages to join us on the 17th where we’ll unite with pro-life Oireachtas members to press the Government for proper representation for the pro-life viewpoint at the decision making table, to make way for policies that will help reduce Ireland’s spiralling abortion rate.

The March starts at the University Church side of Stephen’s Green at 2.30pm sharp and we’ll march from there to Leinster House.

Please keep spreading the word and encourage friends and loved ones to accompany you to this family friendly event that’s taking place at such an important time for the pro-life issue.

We look forward very much to seeing you there!

Autumn Lindsey is the keynote speaker at next weekend’s March for Life in Dublin. She first came to prominence in 2017 when she made a rebuttal video that was watched by millions in response to a Teen Vogue article promoting abortion.

Today, she works as a spokesperson for Students for Life of America and was a regular contributor to TV and radio debates in the US in recent months after the overturning of Roe v Wade. She also hosts a popular online show called Unapologetic, that informs and educates a new generation pro-life activists on how to articulate the pro-life message with love and strength.

Britain’s new Health Secretary has an excellent pro-life voting record ()

Britain’s new Health Secretary Thérèse Coffey ()

Thérèse Coffey, was named Britain’s new Health Secretary on Tuesday after Liz Truss succeeded Boris Johnson as Prime Minister. While she has an excellent pro-life voting record in parliament she has indicated that she will not use her position to usher in any changes to the law on abortion.

The media and pro-abortion organisations like the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) however were quick to denounce her appointment. BPAS chief executive Clare Murphy said: “To have a health secretary who would place their personal beliefs above expert clinical guidance is deeply concerning."

Since her election to parliament in 2010, Ms Coffey has voted for pro-life positions on 10 separate occasions. She voted against the imposition of abortion on Northern Ireland and was the primary sponsor of a motion in parliament to provide information to women prior to abortion on the possible mental health risks of an induced abortion. She also voted in favor of introducing independent abortion counselling services that would ban abortion providers from engaging in counselling women before an abortion.

Whenever politicians assume more powerful positions in parliament or government, it is regrettable that many cave to the pressures that come with their new job and abandon the principled stances they held on issues like abortion. Let’s hope and pray that Thérèse Coffey will withstand these pressures and stick to her principles when important decisions about life and death and the right to life are being made during her tenure in office.

Invitation to Ceiliúradh Cois Life Annual fundraising dinner for pro-life education with guest speaker Professor William Binchy ()
After a two year break, the sixth annual Ceiliúradh Cois Life dinner for pro-life education (co-hosted with Senator Rónán Mullen) will take place in the RDS Concert Hall, Merrion Road, Dublin 4 on Friday, 7th October at 7pm.

Our guest speaker this year is Professor Emeritus William Binchy of Trinity College Dublin. As well as being Regius Professor of Laws in TCD until 2012, William is an author of numerous legal textbooks, a former member of the Irish Human Rights Commission, a practising barrister and one of the leading voices in defence of the right to life of unborn children in Ireland since 1983.

The proceeds of the dinner will ensure the vital education and support work of the Pro Life Campaign can continue — assisting new mothers and those with unplanned pregnancy, and running educational programmes for young people in the pro-life movement on college campuses and through the Future Leaders Programme.

Due to an increase in costs (beyond our control), the price of a table of ten this year is €1,500. Individual tickets are €150 each. If you would like to join us on the evening, please email (mailto:[email protected]?subject=PLC%20Annual%20Dinner) to book a table or individual ticket.
Send INSTANT ready-to-go message to your TDs asking them to urge Stephen Donnelly to immediately STOP telemedicine abortion ()
[link removed]
The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly is expected to make a decision very soon on whether to end or sanction the continuation of telemedicine home abortions.

In a very distrubing new finding, 15% of women in the UK said they experienced pressure to go though with an abortion they didn't want to have.*

The HSE in Ireland recently acknowledged** that coercion is MORE likely to occur when abortions happen remotely.

Telemedicine abortion is anti-woman as well as anti-baby.

Take one minute to send an INSTANT message to your TDs asking them to urge the Minister for Health to immediately STOP telemedicine abortion now that Covid 19 measures have been eased in every other area.

You can send an instant message here ([link removed])

*The findings are contained in research conducted for BBC Radio 4
**In an answer to a Parliamentary Question from Carol Nolan TD on 3rd March 2022
