Petition sponsored by United Poultry Concerns to DREMU cosmetic company
Airbrush eye cream is a slaughterhouse product obtained by killing the gentle, nomadic emu for the fat extracted from beneath the emu’s skin. It is a product of brutality and terror and cannot therefore enhance the beauty of the user. It amounts to smearing a dead animal’s blood serum and fat all over one’s face. Serum is the liquid that remains after the blood has clotted. It has no more benefit than do plant-based facial creams. Neither is emu oil a superior treatment for arthritis.
Please sign & share this petition to DREMU urging the company to replace emu oil with cruelty-free plant-based ingredients in all of its products.

Who are emus and why should we treat them with compassion instead of cruelty?
Emus are gentle, friendly birds with a strong family life in which the father plays an active role with the mother emu in nest-building, incubating and rearing their chicks. Emus are nomadic natives of Australia, designed by 90 million years of evolution to roam over vast tracts of land as a family unit. They run up to 40 miles an hour covering 9 feet in a single stride. Their long necks and piercing periscopic eyes enable them to survey the land for miles in all directions at once. If they appear awkward in captivity, it’s because these fleet-footed birds, like their ostrich relatives, are meant for wide open spaces, where their intelligence, grace, parental care and exquisite dances can be expressed.
The slaughter of emus is horrible. It begins with paralyzing the fully conscious, frantically struggling birds with agonizing electricity to immobilize them for the slaughter process. They are NOT “humanely slaughtered.” They are tortured to death.
Please sign & share this petition and avoid all products made from emus. Learn more about these oldest living birds on Earth at www.upc-online.org/ostriches.
