Hey, it's Governor Hogan.

I'm on the road again with An America United and this week we traveled to Oregon to meet with Christine Drazan and other common sense leaders who share our values when tackling issues like crime, inflation, and education.

Oregon was one of the centers of the dangerous "Defund the Police" movement and their communities have paid the price. Violent crime, homelessness, drug use, and robberies have skyrocketed.

During our community events, I shared what we did in Maryland with our "refund the police" initiative, which invested $500 million into our law enforcement.

I also talked about our policies that helped our state get tough on crime, hold violent criminals accountable, and how we restored law and order during the 2015 Baltimore riots.

Like President Ronald Reagan, I believe in peace through strength.

Christine Drazan in Oregon, Mark Ronchetti in New Mexico, and Sheriff Joe Lombardo in Nevada are the type of leaders America needs because they understand the issues and focus on solutions, not partisan politics.
