Friends,

Today is a somber day for our nation, and given the overwhelming evidence that President Trump has undermined our national security by using our government for his own personal gain, I will uphold my oath to defend our democracy by voting in favor of both articles of impeachment.

I recognized the corrupt behavior of this Administration early on and I was one of the first members of Congress to vote to advance an impeachment inquiry over two years ago.

Now the evidence is clear: Trump is guilty of abusing his power and obstructing Congress. His actions are a threat to our national security and a threat to our democracy.

No one is above the law, and it’s my solemn duty as a member of Congress to hold this president and his administration accountable.
