John, Right wing congressional hopeful, Amanda Adkins, got the message that she needs to serially lie about her positions. She is running to win a congressional seat in Kansas, where votes rejected an abortion ban by a whopping 18% recently. So she's trying to hide the fact she's an anti-abortion extremist, "very pro-life," who supports a personhood amendment for forced birth for 10-yr old rape victims, 9-yr olds molested by family members and all women wishing to control the body, economic mobility and destiny. Adkins, of course, refuses to reject Trump's seditionist lie about our election not being completely fair and honest, and would've voted against President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act. In effect, she would have voted to ban Medicare from negotiating the price of prescription drugs for seniors down by as much as 50% and would've continued to allow huge, multinational corporations to pay no taxes, so the rest of us can pay more. A gerrymandered legislature took many Democrats out of incumbent Democrat Sharice Davids' district, because Adkins couldn't win in 2020, so they wanted to make it easier for her. The Republican way... Davids is just about the most interesting member of Congress you'll ever meet. A woman and lesbian, who is Native American and a former amatuer and professional mixed martial arts fighter. The kind of diversity and fighter we need in Congress, all in one! She was raised by a single mother, served more than 20 yrs in the U.S. Army, got herself into and through Cornell University Law School by working a series of jobs, and served as a White House Fellow under President Obama. |
