When Cody Chandler arrived at the UT Health Tyler emergency room with pneumonia, the last thing he expected was to be diagnosed with leukemia.

“ [The hospital] became the only place I felt safe and eventually felt like my second family,” Cody said. “The nurses helped me through the most difficult thing I have ever experienced.”
