You do not need a reason to request an absentee ballot. If voting absentee is safer or more convenient for you than voting in person, here are the 3 ways you can apply for an absentee ballot:

1- Fill out an absentee application online → https://portal.sos.state.nm.us/OVR/WebPages/AbsenteeApplication.aspx

2- Contact your County Clerk’s Office by phone, email, mail, or in person → https://www.sos.state.nm.us/voting-and-elections/voter-information-portal/county-clerk-information/

3- Download an absentee ballot application here, fill it out, and mail or hand deliver it to your County Clerk’s Office.

NOTE: Absentee ballot applications are accepted until November 3rd.

Absentee ballots may be returned to the County Clerk’s Office or any Election Day polling location no later than 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
