Friend, I’m feeling hopeful about November. Since the Dobbs decision that overturned federal abortion protections dropped in June, Texans under the age of 25 are registering in historic numbers -- surging by 10% in favor of Democrats. [link removed]


A recent Houston Chronicle article highlighted that young people who have registered since June 24 are leaning more blue than ever before. Democrats now make up 47% of young voters in Texas -- the highest number we’ve seen in decades.

The writing is on the wall -- young people across the country are terrified for their future under extremist Republican leadership, but especially in Texas. We want to live in a state where we have the freedom to choose what's best for our future without menaces like Greg Abbott, Dan Patrick and indicted Ken Paxton dictating our personal lives.


But Friend, no matter how exciting these historic numbers are, we can’t get comfortable. There’s still much more work to get done before the voter registration deadline on October 11, and your donation of $22 will only strengthen our voter registration numbers in this final stretch. Our movement for a bright blue Texas is bigger than you and me. It’s about standing together against the rise of fascism in our state and securing a democratic future -- where self-liberation reigns -- for all those who will come after we’re long gone.
