The Intercept: "DCCC to Consultants: Helping to Elect a Republican? Sure, We’ll Work With You." |
John, this is outrageous.
Earlier this year, the DCCC decided to blacklist any vendor or staffer who works on a progressive primary challenger’s campaign. But that same blacklisting rule doesn’t apply to firms that are helping to elect Republicans.
The Intercept just reported that the DCCC has paid a digital firm doing business with a PAC that works to elect both Democrats and Republicans $428,000 this year alone.
When the DCCC announced their blacklist policy they said it was to protect our Democratic majority, but clearly that was a lie.
If the DCCC is going to blacklist any staffer or vendor who works for a progressive primary challenger’s campaign then they certainly shouldn’t be working with firms who are trying to elect Republicans. But the fact that the DCCC is doing exactly that demonstrates their deceptiveness and commitment to establishment politics.
The DCCC’s blacklist put our progressive, primary challenger campaigns at a disadvantage as they fight for the soul of the Democratic Party. It’s up to each one of us to step up and make sure they have the resources needed to compete and win a victory for working people across America.
Thank you for helping us fight back against the DCCC’s double-dealing policy today.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
