John,

I know people say this about every election, but when it comes to voting rights, and our freedom to vote, this midterm election may be the most important election of our lives. The New Pennsylvania Project is doing everything we can to empower the Commonwealth’s immigrant community, young voters, and communities of color to make their voices heard in this election.

We’ve already registered more than 15,000 Pennsylvanians this year, putting us well on our way to hitting our goals by November 8th. To make sure we do, we’re doubling our staff.

We’ve been preparing for this all year, John, but we’re counting on peak engagement from everyone to reach our goal. Can you chip in $10 today to help us double our staff and get them the resources they need?

We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but I am hopeful that this year we’re going to see a wave of new voters engaged in the electoral process for the first time and bring change to their communities. Let me tell you why.

We recently registered a 100-year-old woman to vote. 100 years old, and she had never voted in her life. When we asked her why she hadn’t voted in such a long time, she said it was because no one had ever asked her. No one ever approached her and asked her to register to vote. So we registered her to vote that day, along with many like her who have simply never been asked to vote or need some support to do it.

More and more people are coming to the realization that if we’re going to have real systemic change, we’re going to have to change the way the electorate looks. Conversations like that are how we do it. John, will you donate $10 right now to help us double our staff, have those conversations, and mobilize voters from the Commonwealth’s historically excluded and neglected communities of color, immigrant communities, and the youth?

-------------------------------------------------------

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in under-represented communities of color and immigrant communities. We will register them to vote, provide education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize people to vote in every election.
