Donald Trump just can't stand not being the center of attention.

Lately, he's been making the rounds, inserting himself into Republican primaries by promoting his chosen extremist candidates, desperately trying to remain relevant. It's a reminder of just how dangerous Trump remains to our democracy.

Recently, Trump even bragged that a candidate he endorsed will "rule with an iron fist."

You know who else Donald Trump praised for ruling with an "iron fist?" Chinese President Xi Jinping.

There's a certain common thread to leaders that Donald Trump admires. Xi Xinping, Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un, Viktor Orban – Trump praises them all. Explicitly. Out loud.

Which brings us to Alek Skarlatos, who openly admires Donald Trump.

Alek was an early Trump fan, posting photos online of himself wearing "Make America Great Again" gear in early 2016. After Trump was elected, Alek tweeted at him asking for a job in the White House. In 2020 when he ran against Peter DeFazio, Alek said he "would love to have a rally" with Trump. And, after Jan 6, Alek complained about social media companies "censoring" Trump.

I could keep going, but I think you get the picture here.
