$10 becomes $20 towards passing policies that affirm trans and gender non-conforming students’ participation in athletics.
$25 becomes $50 towards professional development trainings that empower educators to act in allyship with LGBTQ students.
$100 becomes $200 towards resources for GSA clubs to create safe and welcoming spaces within their school communities.
GLSEN research reinforces what students have been telling us for years, LGBTQ+ students face more hostile school climates as compared to their peers.
Fortunately, our research also shows that when LGBTQ+ students have access to safe and supportive schools they miss less school; have higher GPAs; experience less bullying and harassment; and feel a greater sense of belonging.
