Friend,
This past year Republicans have made strides in restoring common sense law and order in the Commonwealth. We at the Republican Party of Virginia want to highlight the fantastic work our Delegates and Senators in the General Assembly were able to accomplish this past session.
Today’s spotlight is on Delegate Amanda Batten, Chair of the House Republican Caucus. During the 2022 legislative session, Delegate Batten was the chief patron of HB537, which expands continuity of health care for individuals who recently moved to Virginia. This bill allows specific health care workers—who hold an active, unrestricted license in another state—to provide continuity of care for their existing patients who relocated to the Commonwealth.
Delegate Batten also successfully carried HB1272, requiring that each school board offer in-person instruction to public school students. Additionally, it makes masks optional for students based on the decisions of their respective parents or guardians.
Thank you to Delegate Batten for increasing access to telehealth and for putting education at the forefront of public policy.
It is clear that Republicans are leading the way to make Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Be on the lookout for more GOP Wins from this last session as we continue to thank our great elected officials for the hard work that they are doing!
