Thank you so much for all your support, John.
Without you, it would not have been possible for us to get to this point. Thank you for getting out and voting, for making calls, talking to your neighbors, contributing to this campaign, and being part of the fight for a better future for the working people of Massachusetts.
Even though this election did not end with the results we worked so hard for, I am still proud of everything we accomplished together.
Campaigns are a team effort, and I am so proud to have fought alongside you, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Mayor Michelle Wu, Former Mayor Kim Janey, the Massachusetts AFL-CIO, and so many more teammates.
This campaign would not have been possible without each and every one of you.
While Tuesday’s results were not what we had hoped for, this won’t stop me from continuing to do what I’ve done for my entire career: delivering for the people of Massachusetts, and fighting for those who need it most across the country.
I will continue to fight for workers who have had their wages stolen.
I will continue to fight for families who are being squeezed by rising rents and high gas prices.
I will continue to fight for anyone being discriminated against because of the color of their skin or their immigration status.
I will continue to fight against corporations who are responsible for catastrophic climate change.
I hope and trust you will continue to fight as well.
In solidarity and gratitude,
Shannon Liss-Riordan
