Social Security is the most popular and successful social insurance program ever to be created in the history of our country. Throughout all those decades, the GOP has rarely missed an opportunity to undermine Social Security. Year after year, they come up with new approaches. But their goal is always the same: Destroy Social Security.

After Donald Trump was elected, Congressional Republicans implemented a devious plan to undermine and ultimately destroy Social Security that, conveniently enough, helps the rich become even richer in the process.

Here was their plan.

Step 1: Give gigantic tax cuts to the wealthiest people and corporations―about $2 trillion.

Step 2: Tell the American people that the rising debt―that they just created―is forcing them to cut Social Security. Nevermind that Social Security does not and cannot contribute a single penny to the debt or deficit.

We will not stand on the sidelines while Mitch McConnell and Republicans in Congress use their tax scam as an excuse to steal our earned benefits. Donate today to ditch Mitch and ensure he’s out of a job after 2020.

McConnell essentially thinks you should work until you die. But just because he won't retire doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to.
