Today, we kick off our 2-month countdown to victory on November 8th with a very special guest, Congresswoman-Elect Mary Peltola of Alaska, at our weekly Grassroots Volunteer update: TODAY — Thursday, September 8th, at 3:30 PM PT / 6:30 PM ET.

Congresswoman-Elect Peltola will represent the state of Alaska in the House. The first Democratic U.S. Representative from Alaska in more than fifty years, she is also the first Native Alaskan to be elected to Congress in U.S. History. 

Congresswoman-Elect Peltola ran and won on an “adamantly Pro-Jobs, Pro-Fish, Pro-Family and Pro-Choice” platform that reflects the needs and values of Alaska. Informed by her record of engaged leadership and of working diligently to meet the needs of her neighbor-constituents dating back to her first election to the Alaska State House at the age of 24, Congresswoman-Elect Peltola is set to hit the ground running in the House on behalf of ALL Alaskans.
