With the Federal Election Commission’s pre-election deadline coming up so soon, I know that engaged Democrats like you get plenty of emails from candidates across PA and our entire country.
Our campaign is no exception, because this fundraising deadline is really important. It’s the moment of truth when we’ll know if we have the resources to fund our operations through November, or if we need to make drastic budget cuts. That’s a really tough decision that I’d rather not have to make.

Let me explain what it means when we ask you to make a “matched” donation:
1. When we promise your contribution will be matched, we deliver. Sean values transparency in all of our campaign operations. We’ll never lie to you about bogus 6x and 8x matches (trust us: if we had that kind of money, we wouldn’t be worrying about raising more).
2. Our match funds are generously donated by real supporters. A few individual donors pledge to match a specific dollar amount, which then goes towards our official Match Fund. We’ll continue offering matches until we hit our goal.
3. Our campaign can only access these matching funds after you make a contribution. Each time you make a contribution, we contact our donors and collect their pledge for that amount.
