You know this already, friend, but it bears repeating: Elections matter.

We all worked so hard in 2020 to elect leaders at the federal level who would prioritize climate action and protect our future. And because of that hard work — the calls you made, the doors you knocked, the texts you sent, the money you donated, and the vote you cast — we have historic climate legislation signed into law with life-changing and life-saving provisions.

Now we have to do the same thing in the midterm election on November 8 – that’s two months from today!

In addition to protecting and expanding the Democrats’ majorities in the U.S. House and Senate, we have a unique opportunity to elect a climate majority in our State Legislature that will move California forward in a big way.

Quick, check out our list of endorsed candidates and measures in California, then double check you are registered so you can vote for them >>

This election will determine whether we can make the necessary climate investments and policy changes in time before the 2030 deadline scientific experts have given us.

Here’s how we’re going to do that: by electing a true majority of environmental leaders in the California State Legislature who will consistently introduce and support climate solutions.

That’s why we’re on a Path to 62: 21 votes in the Senate and 41 votes in the Assembly.

This is our chance, friend – California has the biggest field of open, competitive seats since 2010. And we can also increase the state’s transition to clean, zero-emission vehicles and wildfire prevention by passing Prop 30, the Clean Air Initiative.

We just need EnviroVoters like you to vote for Prop 30 and all the climate champions on the ballot. So take a look at our full list of endorsements up and down the state and make a plan to vote for climate action!

We’ve got two months to set the stage for meaningful climate action in California. I’m so grateful to have you aboard this journey.

Let’s win this election!
