Nottingham Mela Highlights...
mela
This year?s Mela theme was ?In Joy?, inviting you to absorb and immerse yourself in different states of joy throughout the Mela experience.?
Nottingham Mela had something for everyone to enjoy (In Joy); live music, theatre, dance, film screenings, poetry, comedy, family friendly events and workshops, plus a special Mela menu which was available in the NAE caf? throughout the weekend.
Also as part of this year?s Mela programme, NAAC in partnership with NAE offered a series of FREE taster sessions during August, working towards a showcase event by the NAAC Music & Dance Academy held on Saturday 3 September, 5-7pm.
The *Kavya Rang Poetry* event was held? on Sunday 4 September as part of the Nottingham Mela at NAE with a great?turnout at the open Mic Poetry gathering. The poets who recited multilingual poetry were; Jai Verma Ji (Chair Person), Dave Wood, Richard Young, Madhu Limbachia, Pushpa Rao, Jaswinder Biant, Rekha Vasishta , Dr Sudha Vashisht, Priti Meham, Sangeeta Prasod, Dr Sunneta Srivastava, Richard Chung and Harminder Nagi...a mirthful showcase that everyone enjoyed. Many thanks to?all members of the Kavya Rang, NAAC, NAE, all participants and the excellent audience.?
Thank You to all the parents, participants, artists and everyone who made this years Mela a huge success...Click on the *Facebook links* below to see some of the highlights...
