Fed Prepares to Increase Interest Rates by Another 0.75 Percent
Wall Street Journal: The Federal Reserve appears to be on a path to raise interest rates by another 0.75 percentage point this month in the wake of Chairman Jerome Powell’s public pledge to reduce inflation even if it increases unemployment. Fed officials have done little to push back against market expectations of a third consecutive 0.75-point rate rise in recent public statements and interviews ahead of their Sept. 20-21 policy meeting ( Wall Street Journal). CNBC: The Fed has increased interest rates four times this year for a total of 2.25 percentage points. Those hikes included two 0.75 percentage point moves in June and July, the most aggressive since the Fed began using its benchmark funds rate as its chief policy tool in the early 1990s ( CNBC).

22 Percent of Democrats Believe Men Can Get Pregnant
Daily Caller: Nearly a quarter of Democrats believe men are capable of getting pregnant, according to a recent poll. Democrats were far more likely than the general population to believe that “some men can get pregnant,” with 22% of Democrats saying they believed the prompt, including 36% of white, college-educated female Democrats. This apparent shift away from a conventional view of gender comes after rigorous efforts from activists and media outlets to use gender-neutral language when discussing pregnancy in the name of transgender inclusion ( Daily Caller). Interactive Polls: “SOME MEN CAN GET PREGNANT” DEMOCRATS: TRUE — 22, FALSE — 78%. WHITE WOMEN COLLEGE: TRUE — 36%, FALSE — 64% ( Twitter). Kimberlee Kruesi: New AP style guidance alert ( Twitter). PJ Media: In actuality, those pushing radical gender theory are well aware that only someone with a uterus can get pregnant and give birth. They just prefer referring to people who say they aren’t women as “men” because it’s so rad and awesome to pretend ( PJ Media).

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Shares Worries and Fears With GQ, Including of Being Killed and Marrying a White Man
New York Post: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says it’s unlikely she could ever be elected president of the United States — because so many people in America “hate women” and “would never let that happen.” The socialist firebrand New York Democrat speculated about the possibilities of her launching a future White House bid in a wide-ranging cover interview with GQ magazine published Wednesday. Ocasio-Cortez said that while she tries to hold onto the belief that anything is possible, her experience in Congress has “given me a front-row seat to how deeply and unconsciously, as well as consciously, so many people in this country hate women.” “And they hate women of color,” the 32-year-old added ( New York Post). Daily Wire: Describing her harrowing daily drive to work on Capitol Hill, she says she fears she may be killed within weeks, or even days, simply because so many people hate women. Ocasio-Cortez, who in April got engaged to Riley Roberts in April, discusses her concerns about spending her life with a white man, worrying about the difficulties of a multi-racial, multi-cultural relationship ( Daily Wire).

European Union May Impose “Mandatory Target” to Reduce Electricity Use
Another “flatten the curve.” Reuters: The European Commission will propose a price cap on Russian gas, alongside measures including a mandatory EU cut in electricity use and a ceiling on the revenue of non-gas power generators, the bloc’s chief said on Wednesday. Power and fuel prices have soared as Russia has cut the amount of gas it sends to Europe, with European leaders accusing Moscow of weaponizing its energy supplies. Russia has blamed the supply cuts on technical issues and Western sanctions imposed over its invasion of Ukraine ( Reuters). Disclose.tv: EU will propose a “mandatory target for reducing electricity use at peak hours” in order to “flatten the curve” ( Twitter). Daily Wire: European powers are scrambling to address energy shortages as natural gas prices increase more than tenfold compared to normal levels ahead of the winter months. Pointing to low hydropower generation and disruptions caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, von der Leyen revealed in a speech that the European Union plans to work with member states to limit power usage ( Daily Wire).

Iran Nuclear Deal Delayed Amid Iran’s New Demands of US Lifting Sanctions, Stockpile of Uranium
Wall Street Journal: Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium has grown enough to easily produce enough fuel for an atomic bomb, the United Nations atomic agency reported Wednesday, as talks to revive the 2015 nuclear deal falter over Tehran’s last-minute demands for U.S. guarantees. The highly enriched uranium can easily be converted into weapons grade fuel, with Iran’s stockpile of that material well above the minimum amount needed to fuel one nuclear weapon. Iran says its nuclear program is entirely for civilian purposes and that it has never sought to work on nuclear weapons… In a note sent on Sep. 1, Iran dialed up its demands on guarantees to ensure it wins economic benefits from the deal, on the pace of U.S. sanctions-lifting and pushed for new language on what happens with the agency’s nuclear probe. Washington said Iran’s response wasn’t constructive and European diplomats have said a deal before the midterm elections in the U.S. in November looks increasingly unlikely now ( Wall Street Journal). Fox News: Biden has made reviving the Obama-era deal, which was scrapped under former President Donald Trump, a cornerstone of his policy on Iran. But the potential new deal has received some pushback from Israel, which argues that Iran is closing in on the ability to build a nuclear weapon and a new deal would only serve to delay the inevitable ( Fox News).

Biden Admin Put on Backburner While Obama Takes the Limelight in Return to White House
The Obama’s Visit the White House to unveil their official portraits. Washington Post: When former president Barack Obama returned to the White House for the first time in April, he received a hero’s welcome from Democrats. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi kissed Obama’s hand. White House staffers eagerly angled for photos. And Democrats celebrated the Affordable Care Act, the former president’s signature domestic-policy accomplishment. Then Obama opened his remarks by saying, “Thank you, Vice President Biden.” But for some longtime Biden staffers, the zinger punctured the celebratory mood. They saw the quip, intentional or not, as part of a pattern of arrogance from Obama and a reminder of the disrespect many felt from Obama’s cadre of aides toward Biden ( Washington Post). Fox News: The author stated, “Beneath that jovial atmosphere, however, is long-simmering tension, and even some jealousy, between the circles around Obama and Biden.” He then offered some reasons for why this tension exists. “Some Biden loyalists are resentful that Obama didn’t throw his weight behind Biden’s presidential aspirations, complaining that even now Obama’s team does not fully respect Biden,” Pager explained. From the Obama team perspective, they are “frustrated that Biden’s aides regularly boast of how they have avoided the mistakes of the Obama White House, such as failing to sufficiently tout the president’s accomplishments” ( Fox News).

Leftist Comedian Kathy Griffin: “If you don’t want a Civil War, vote for Democrats in November”
New York Post: Kathy Griffin is catching heat Wednesday following a political tweet that some social media watchdogs are calling out as “threatening.” The controversial standup comic threw herself into the fiery pits of Twitter when she suggested that if Americans want to endure a fatal historical throwback — they should vote red in the forthcoming election ( New York Post). Kathy Griffin: If you don’t want a Civil War, vote for Democrats in November. If you do want Civil War, vote Republican ( Twitter). Ted Cruz: This is WRONG. Crazy Hollywood Leftie threatening “Civil War” if Dems don’t win. Sadly, this is today’s Left: angry, hateful & violent ( Twitter).

Cumulus Parts Ways With “Podcast Movement” Over Ben Shapiro Kerfuffle
Axios: Cumulus, one of the largest radio companies in the country, says it’s “disassociating” from Podcast Movement, an annual podcast industry conference, following an unusual confrontation on Twitter between the conference and The Daily Wire, a conservative outlet that partners with Cumulus. An unexpected appearance by Ben Shapiro, founding editor-in-chief and editor emeritus of The Daily Wire, at the conference last month prompted an outcry from members of the conference community, according to now-deleted tweets from Podcast Movement. Shapiro, according to sources familiar with the event and a video posted to Twitter by The Daily Wire, stopped by a booth at the conference paid for by The Daily Wire to greet fans and take pictures on Aug. 24. The following day, Podcast Movement put out a series of now-deleted tweets apologizing to its community for Shapiro’s presence ( Axios). Daily Wire: The Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing fumed about the treatment of his longtime partner at the company’s “Backstage” event last week, calling it “unadulterated bigotry.” On Tuesday, Boreing praised Cumulus and called for other media companies and figures to stand up for free expression, civil discourse, and ideological diversity ( Daily Wire).

Popular Children’s Show “Peppa Pig” Introduces First Lesbian Characters
They cannot leave children alone. NBC: The popular British children’s show “Peppa Pig” has introduced its first same-sex couple — two lesbian polar bears — following years of calls for more LGBTQ characters on the show. In an episode that aired Tuesday on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom, Penny the Polar Bear tells main character Peppa Pig that she has “two mummies” and draws a picture of herself holding hands with them. “I live with my mummy and my other mummy,” Penny says in the episode, which is titled “Families.” She adds that one of her moms is a doctor ( NBC). BBC: “Children watching Peppa Pig are at an impressionable age,” the creators of the petition wrote. “Excluding same-sex families will teach them that only families with either a single parent or two parents of different sexes are normal” ( BBC).

Uncle Tom II Exposes Lies of Socialism, Communism
Townhall: Uncle Tom II fleshes out the historical context that has led to near-total ideological conformity among the black community. It presents a thesis anathema to every liberal fact-checker, Afrocentric college intellectual, far-left Black Lives Matter shock troop, and even a milquetoast conservative ( Townhall). Co-producer Chad Jackson: It’s important that black youth, in particular, know their real history. That they know that their great grandfathers and grandmothers were patriots. That they loved this country, that they were church oriented, and that they were making tremendous strides, generation by generation. It wasn’t until — and a lot of people are going to hate to hear this — but it wasn’t until Marxist agitation, specifically under the guise of civil rights, came through and in a sense shifted the mindset of black youth in the ‘60s, going into the ‘70s, where they were rebelling against the adult generation of their day ( Daybreak Daily). IMDB: Uncle Tom II unveils the Marxist strategy of creating false racial tension between Americans, and its ultimate goal of obtaining power, destroying capitalism and replacing God with government ( IMDB). Larry Elder: IT WILL BLOW YOU AWAY ( Twitter)! You can find the film here ( uncletom).
