In This Cultural Moment, Stand with FRC!

Dear John,

"Children, developmentally, are not prepared to deal with this stuff. Let them be children... It's like we're stealing their innocence."

That's what stay-at-home mom Heather Smithson stated in an interview with The Washington Stand when she shared her shock that Pizza Hut's BOOK IT program promoted a book during Pride Month about a young boy dressing in drag.

The BOOK IT program has for years been an "enjoyable" literacy program for Smithson's family, like countless others. But when it comes to matters of sexuality, she wishes corporations would remain "neutral" and allow parents to "determine what is or isn't appropriate."

Sadly, we are seeing an increasing number of companies now making it their "business" to educate our kids about sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

We must remain vigilant to protect our children.

Our culture wants to stamp out sex distinctions, but at FRC, we stand firm upon God's design for male and female. As we continue to draw a bold line against gender identity ideology, the next battle being waged by Big Business is pro-abortion activism.

Just days after the U.S. Supreme Court's historic Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, 60 companies jumped at the chance to virtue signal. Amazon, Bank of America, Comcast, Dick's Sporting Goods, Macy's, PayPal, and many more announced updated "healthcare" policies for their employees that include abortion stipends and travel reimbursement.

Dick's Sporting Goods announced they would provide employees up to $4,000 in travel expenses to access an abortion but refused to respond when asked if that same financial support would be offered to women who wanted to choose life for their babies!

It's a messy business when corporate America takes sides in the culture war.

A recent poll of registered voters by our legislative affiliate, FRC Action, shows that 57% of Americans--a figure that includes Democrats and Republicans--want companies to stay out of cultural and social issues altogether.

With more Americans on both sides of the political aisle rejecting woke corporate activism--now is the time for Christians to take a stand where they work and do business, affirming God's design for human sexuality and protecting life in the womb.

Billy Graham once said, "I believe one of the next great moves of God will happen through believers in the workplace."

Unfortunately, Big Government under President Joe Biden is marching to the same tune as Big Business. From displaying rainbow flags above our U.S. embassies to taxpayer-funded transgender surgeries in the military, there seems to be no limit to Biden's radical agenda.

In June, while China was busy launching a new warship, our U.S. Navy was producing a training video on how to use "inclusive language" and the proper use of pronouns to "create a safe space for everybody."

Is it any wonder our military recruitment numbers are shrinking?

John, as a retired general, I have never been more concerned about our U.S. armed forces.

This is about blurring the lines of biological sex and destroying the readiness of all branches of the military. The retention and recruitment problems can be traced back to the misplaced priorities of the Biden Administration and former Obama Administration, which have focused more on wokeness in the military than preparing young men and women to win the nation's wars.

We need more young Americans proud to serve our country--those with pride in being an American, not pride in LGBT ideology that serves no purpose in military readiness.

When the White House released Biden's annual proclamation on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Pride one day before Pride Month" began, the president promised to help transgender youth reach their "God-given potential."

How ironic that Biden points to God when the Bible clearly asserts that male and female are not a social construct but rather God's design for humankind.

For the sake of our nation and the next generation, we must stand up and let Big Government and Big Business know we will not cave to this radical sexual agenda.

While our culture promotes confusion and lies, NOW--in this cultural moment--is the time to highlight biblical truth and say, "No" to woke agendas in Big Business and Big Government.
