Q. I want to make sure I can finish the 2022 Annual Information Statement as soon as possible. What information should I have on hand to help? A: The best places to find our supporting information are our 2022 Annual Information Statement Hub and Checklist. The 2022 Annual Information Statement Hub provides a great overview of changes to charity size thresholds, as well as links to resources like our 2022 Annual Information Statement Guide. The 2022 Annual Information Statement Checklist outlines the different information you should have handy before starting your work. Q: Our Annual General Meeting is coming up soon. What should our charity be considering? A: It is important your charity prepares a meeting agenda that covers several important tasks, such as confirming the minutes of your previous AGM, presenting the annual report and financial statement to members and electing new members to your charity’s board. The meeting should also allow time for questions to the board. It is vitally important to provide members with sufficient notice of the time and place where your AGM will be held. The ACNC website contains more information about annual general meetings, as well as templates to help you prepare AGM minutes and agendas. Additionally, we have useful information on our website regarding holding meetings remotely. CPA Scholarships Managers and financial officers of registered charities are invited to apply for one of five scholarships to complete The CPA Program. Applications close 25 September 2022.
