Friend: From a young age, my parents taught me what it meant to be of service to others. My dad was a veteran, small businessman, and preacher. My mom worked hard to raise my siblings and me and instill in us the belief that we could do anything we put our minds to.
Today, I'm proud to serve the people of Georgia in the Senate – but my work doesn't stop there. I serve as the senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, the spiritual home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Sometimes folks ask me, "What is it like to walk in Dr. King's shoes?" I always tell them I've never tried. We don't need to walk in his shoes; we need to stand on his shoulders and meet today's moment.
Understanding that my service doesn't stop at the church doors is a big part of why I ran for Senate in the first place. Now, I'm fighting hard to keep Dr. King's dream of justice and equality alive in Washington.
But I'll be honest: CNN is calling me one of the most vulnerable Democratic senators up for reelection – and new polls show this race is neck and neck. The only way I can defend my seat and win our critical fights for justice is with your help. I'm personally asking: Will you give $5 or more right now to help me keep Georgia blue, defend our Senate majority, and build a better future for our country?

Thank you, friend.
