Colorado has one of the highest voter turnouts in the entire country. We also have the nation’s gold standard election system. That is not a coincidence. When voting is accessible, citizens engage at higher rates.

Colorado has one of the highest voter turnouts in the entire country. We also have the nation’s gold standard election system. That is not a coincidence.

When voting is accessible, citizens engage at higher rates.

I am proud that I have been able to strengthen and expand the vote-by-mail system in Colorado. As Secretary of State, it is my job to make sure that every eligible voter has a fair chance to be heard at the polls.

I think every American deserves that same right, don't you?

Voter suppression, lack of access, gerrymandering, misinformation, and lies threaten the health of democracy. At a time when extremism continues to cast a shadow on American democracy, protecting voting rights is even more vital to stability and the future of the country.
