In Texas, we have thrown our support behind two critical DA races — John
Cruezot in Dallas and Joe Gonzales in San Antonio. We know we’ve told you
about these two and the incredible work they are doing as DAs but with two
months to go until Election Day, let us tell you why these are HUGE races.

Texas has some of the harshest opponents to abortions in their leadership.
They didn’t even wait for the Roe v. Wade decision to implement an
abortion ban last year. 

Now, GOP leaders are moving in hyperspeed to attack the rights of those
who can get pregnant — and they want to attack DAs who are ready to defend
those rights.

Joe and John are both up against major competition. Their well-funded
conservative opponents have blatantly shown their support for fiercely
upholding any and all abortion laws and follow through with prosecuting
those trying to get an abortion and abortion providers.

If we can win these races, it will show just how powerful this movement is
— that even down in Texas, our DAs can continue to protect women from
prosecution and fight with bold, unapologetic agendas for real justice.

This is bigger than just Dallas and San Antonio — it’s about showing that
our movement has what it takes to WIN in this post-Roe world.
