Cowboys for Trump founder and New Mexico county commissioner Couy Griffin was just banned from office by a judge for his participation in the January 6 insurrection.

Griffin — who once said “the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat” — is officially the first elected official in American history to be removed from office for their participation or support of the U.S. Capitol riot.

Let us remind you that NM-02 Representative Yvette Herrell said: “Cowboys For Trump is truly one of the endorsements I am most proud of! Keep up the great work, Couy!”

Herrell has attempted to distance herself from Griffin by scrubbing her social media of any mention of him. But she can’t erase the truth: we know this is the kind of extremist she associates with, and she herself played a role in the far-right’s attack on our free and fair elections by voting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
