Three weeks ago, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act — legislation that takes important steps to promote clean energy, but utterly fails to rein in toxic, destructive fossil fuel extraction. We’re working to elect more Democrats to Congress so that better climate legislation can get done!
For years, fossil fuel corporations, agricultural business giants, and water privatizers have been spending millions to elect politicians who put profit before people. With 60 days left until the midterm elections, they'll be using their corporate coffers to influence the outcome by blanketing the airwaves with attack ads and filling our mailboxes with misinformation.
But we’re on the ground to make sure we get climate leaders elected this November — leaders who will fight for us, not massive oil and agriculture corporations.
With your generous support, we can maintain a trifecta that will:
Get us to 100% renewable energy;
Stop corporate agribusiness mergers; and
Fight water privatization to get us safe drinking water.
We are working in key areas around the country — places like Pennsylvania, Iowa and Florida — to develop our grassroots network to elect climate champions in these key states. Today our team is also launching a door-to-door canvass in Pennsylvania, one of the most strategically important regions of the country. And we intend to keep the momentum going.
