Dear Jack,
I don’t know about you, but when I’m out in the redwoods, I feel great. All the noise of everyday life just falls away and I’m happily caught up in the beauty and majesty of the tall trees.
That’s the vibe we want at Take Me to the Trees: A Redwoods Celebration [[link removed]] this October 22, and that’s why our location in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park is so perfect. There’s going to be great live music, an elegant champagne reception, conifer-infused cocktails, food stations of delicious bite-size hors d'oeuvres, and wonderful conversations with other redwood champions like yourself—all under the beautiful coast redwoods of the National AIDS Memorial Grove.
Luz Perez, the League’s Special Events Manager, took a tour of the site the other day and I thought it would be fun to share with you.

I hope that you join the Redwoods Trees Team Challenge and join us on Oct. 22. There are two great ways to participate: Make a donation [[link removed]] , or go bigger by becoming a Team Captain and forming a REDWOODS TREES TEAM [[link removed]] to win exclusive redwood-experience prizes valued at $5,000 and more.
Prizes will be awarded to the top-five Teams that raise the most in contributions, winners will be announced on October 22nd at Take Me to the Trees (need not be present to win).
I want to remind you that the Fantastic Negrito is going to be our musical guest. That will be amazing!

If you can’t make it in person, we still hope you’ll consider participating to help make our work possible on behalf of redwoods.
Take Me to the Trees: A Redwoods Celebration supports the League’s Montgomery Woods Initiative , raising funds to protect Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve by acquiring key properties to expand the park and safeguard critical wildlife corridors, restore the old growth grove of ancient redwoods, and connect people to this hidden gem by improving park infrastructure and enhancing public outreach.
JOIN US FOR A FANTASTIC CELEBRATION! [[link removed]]
Sincerely,
