The economy is in shambles and American families are suffering due to high prices and continued inflation. The job market is also taking a hit as the overall unemployment rate rose to 3.7% (seasonally adjusted) from 3.5%. 

Note that the unemployment rate for women rose to 3.5%, and unemployment for blacks and Hispanics jumped significantly from 6.0% and 3.9% to 6.4% and 4.5%, respectively.
