Since the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United v. FEC in 2010, corporations and big-money donors have spent unlimited and undisclosed amounts of money to influence our elections and judicial confirmation hearings.
Now, anonymous donors and dark money have an outsized influence on our political system.
But the Senate can change that by passing the DISCLOSE Act, which would clean up our democracy by ending anonymous spending in our elections and increasing transparency on political advertisements.
