Our fundraising has been lower than we need for a few months now.
John, my campaign team encouraged me to write to you today because we could really use a boost in our online fundraising.
Here’s the deal: right now, we’re 13.8% behind pace on our quarterly fundraising goal. That’s important (and concerning) for a few reasons.
We need strong fundraising so that I can campaign in full force for Democrats facing GOP extremists in swing districts and progressives running to expand support for Medicare for All in Congress. And my fight to codify abortion rights, raise the minimum wage to at least $15, nix the filibuster, and pass humane immigration reform is fueled by your support, John.
So we’re setting a quick, 24 hour goal to get us back on track. Can you chip in $3 to help us raise $7,500 in the next 24 hours?

And I really do rely on your donations, John.
The average online donation to my campaign this year is just $29.30. The majority of folks donating in response to emails like this one give $27 or less. So, I really do need folks to step up today so we can hit our goal.
When the quarterly FEC filing deadline comes at the end of this month, it’s also important because our fundraising numbers will go public. Reporters, DC insiders, and our opponents will look at my fundraising numbers as a measure of the strength of the progressive movement. We want them to know that our movement is strong and not letting up one bit.
The numbers are important. The work of holding our majority and pushing for progressive change is important. The next 9 weeks are so important for our country and our democracy — so we need to pick up on our fundraising.
Donate right now to help me hit my $7,500 fundraising goal in the next 24 hours. It really will take a wave of support to get on track to fund all of our midterm plans. Please give what you can now!
