More than half of the country will have an election denier on their ballot this November

Did you see this? FiveThirtyEight posted an article this morning showing just how high the stakes are this November:

Up and down the ballot, the MAGA GOP is running candidates who do not uphold the basic principles of our democracy. If they win, these election deniers could be the governors, secretaries of state, and attorneys general who run and certify the 2024 election. In Congress, hundreds of MAGA Republicans voted to reject electoral votes -- even after the insurrection took place. Many of them are up for re-election, and their ranks will swell if more election-denying candidates win congressional races this year. 

Just in the battleground state of Arizona, every single statewide Republican candidate has denied the legitimacy of the 2020 election. If Blake Masters and Kari Lake get elected, they will use their positions of power to erode faith in our elections or, even worse, attempt to overturn the results. These are the threats to our democracy that President Biden warned the country about in his speech last week. 

We know how to stop them. Indivisible groups across the country are putting in the work to highlight MAGA Republicans’ extremism and shift the narrative of this election. Recent polls show this strategy is working, but with just two months until November, we need to pour more resources into this fight.
