Happy Civic Holidays Season, John!
This month marks the official start of the civic holiday season! With the midterm election quickly approaching, we are celebrating by honoring the nonpartisan days of action that strengthen and celebrate our country’s democracy. The Civic Holidays bring together a wide range of organizations and communities in pursuit of an America where everyone participates and votes. With civic holiday season underway, and a major election looming, we’re ramping up our Alliance Ally-exclusive content. Sign up to be an Ally today so you don’t miss out! |

With that, let’s take a look back at how the Alliance celebrated our work towards a stronger democracy last week with our Democracy Done Right Week of Action! If you missed out on any of the action, here’s a quick recap 👇🏽 |

What is Democracy Done Right?
With each generation, voters are more diverse, so why is our voting system still fit for 19th century white landowners? The Democracy Done Right campaign is about creating a voting system for modern America. We believe that when more people participate in our democracy, the better it works. And for more people to participate in our democracy, we must build voting systems for the modern voter.

| Get #VoteReady Getting #VoteReady (and staying ready!) is one of the most powerful ways we can fight for our democracy, and that power is in our own hands. Use our #VoteReady center to check your registration status, register to vote, and see what’s on your ballot. |
| Protect Our Democracy
When our people cannot vote, our voices are silenced and we cannot elect representatives who reflect our values. Check out our blog post featuring ways you can help protect our democracy right now. |

| Our Latest Poll: Read the Results!
The power of the youth vote has been the driving force behind electoral wins since the 2018 midterm elections. In collaboration with Civiqs, we polled young people ages 17-39 across the political spectrum in battleground states on their top policy priorities and issues driving them to the polls this November, their feelings about politicians and government institutions, and their opinions about the 2022 midterms. |

This summer, Alliance Network youth organizers were busy getting young people in their communities to the polls and turned out some major local wins! Read more about this year’s primary season on the Alliance blog. |
