Dear John,

Yesterday, Therese Coffey MP was appointed Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. This could be bad news for abortion rights.

Coffey voted to revoke women's ability to access safe, legal at-home abortion care – despite clinical guidance and medical experts advising otherwise. Our new Health Secretary also voted against abortion rights in Northern Ireland, and she does not support buffer zones to protect women from harassment outside of abortion clinics.

Together we need to send a clear message - that the public won’t stand by whilst their Health Secretary ignores medical experts on women’s health. Add your name to the open letter to Therese Coffey calling on her to treat abortion as healthcare whilst she’s in charge of our NHS. It takes 30 seconds.

Therese Coffey says she won’t “undo” abortion rights in the UK, but that’s not good enough.

Anti-abortion protests in the UK are on the rise, rights are being rolled back across the world and abortion services in the UK are woefully underfunded. In the face of all this, we need a Minister who isn’t going to let their personal views on abortion stand in the way of women’s ability to access abortion.

Sign our open letter to Therese Coffey telling her to treat abortion as a healthcare.

Thanks for your support,
