Tell Congress to Ban Electrical Stimulation Devices

Congress has the opportunity to pass legislation this month that will bring an end to the use of Electrical Stimulation Devices (ESD) on people with disabilities. Also known as shock treatment, these torture devices cause great harm to people with disabilities. Extensive research shows the use of ESDs worsen underlying symptoms, increase depression and anxiety, and cause posttraumatic stress disorder, pain, burns and tissue damage.

We urge you to contact your Representative and Senators and tell them to pass H.R. 7667/S.4348. These bills will prohibit the use of ESDs and allow for a safer and more effective treatment.

If you think it is important for NDRN to continue to protect and advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, please donate to support this work. Thank you!
