Yesterday, we emailed you to tell you that election deniers and MAGA Republicans successfully convinced our Republican Secretary of State to allow hand-counting ballots in Nevada’s midterm elections. Now we have another update:

NEW: The Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada SUES over guidance allowing counties to count ballots by hand or machine at their discretion

Nevada’s MAGA Republicans are taking a page out of Trump’s playbook – and everyone knows it.

Hand-counting ballots is slower and more prone to error than machine counting, and election experts say it opens the entire process up to manipulation. And with Trump and his allies trying to install election deniers in positions of power where they would oversee elections and ballot counts, there would be even more reason for voters to doubt hand-counted results.

That’s why it’s so urgent to make sure that we demand Nevada’s elections are conducted safely and fairly.
