Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has joined the lineup of Congressman who are scheduled to speak on Wednesday at NAFCU’s 2022 Congressional Caucus next week. NAFCU has previously engaged with Brown on several top industry issues. Brown expressed concern over the collection and sale of consumer financial data practices and its holistic effect on the U.S. financial system in a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen back in June. In addition, NAFCU testified before the Senate Banking Committee in February to share credit unions' recommendations regarding community development financial institutions (CDFIs) and minority depository institutions (MDIs).
