This will be the FIRST election with newly drawn Congressional Maps, drawn largely by the GOP. And they purposely gerrymandered them to EXCLUDE out Black votes.
Rather than letting Black voters choose their representative through a fair, democratic process, the GOP wants to stack the odds in their favor!!!
Do you think gerrymandering goes against fundamental values of our democracy?
Republicans control the majority of state legislatures, giving themselves the power to gerrymander districts however they want and hand themselves seats — and that means drowning out Black voters.
With Democrats holding only a 5 seat majority in the House, these newly drawn districts could easily determine if MAGA GOP take control by stealing seats from Black communities.
