John, did you see this article in the New York Times?
Pennsylvania Stakes Its Claim as Center of the Political Universe — The New York Times
Here are three of their highlights:
1. Pennsylvania “has emerged as the nation’s center of political gravity and its ultimate battleground as peak campaign season arrives.”
2. The Senate race “could decide control of the chamber.”
3. The governor’s race “may determine both the future of abortion rights and of free and fair elections in a large presidential swing state.”
That’s right — one of our nation’s top newspapers just reiterated what we’ve been telling you for months. Along with everything else at stake, this could be Pennsylvania’s last free and fair election.
And remember, John, the PA GOP is recruiting “an army” for the express purpose of suppressing Pennsylvania’s communities of color, immigrant communities, and the youth to make sure it is indeed our last. That makes our work to engage these voters even more important to our democracy. Will you donate right now to help us mobilize voters and defend our democracy? →

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in under-represented communities of color and immigrant communities. We will register them to vote, provide education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize people to vote in every election.
