For decades, Republicans undermined our schools, especially here in Arizona. They’ve forced us to use ballot initiatives to try and give our public schools the funding they deserve.
But if you thought previous Republicans had bad education policy, Kari Lake is worse! Last month, Lake endorsed using the controversial Hillsdale College for curriculum standards in Arizona.
Hillsdale has suffered controversy after controversy, promoting “education” that ignores and covers up significant history, bullies LGBTQ+ youth, and indoctrinates its students into even questioning our democracy.

Kari Lake first promoted the idea of 24/7 cameras in our classrooms to “spy” on teachers. Then she follows it up by pushing an extreme “college” hell-bent on promoting far-right propaganda.
Arizona’s governor appoints all but one seat on the Board of Education. If Lake is elected, she’s certain to fill it with like-minded extremists.
We absolutely cannot let that happen. It’s bad enough our schools are constantly fighting for funding and support. We can’t let Lake’s extremism overtake them.
