[1]NNU - Medicare for All!
My name is Candis — I just graduated from the NNU Medicare for All
Leadership School and I’ve been helping to lead the organizing work in my
home state of Florida. I wanted to share some very promising news from
Florida’s Ninth Congressional District, where we’ve been organizing to
call on Rep. Darren Soto to support Medicare for All.
Last week we held an event with nurses and community members outside Rep.
Darren Soto’s Kissimmee office to deliver hundreds of constituent
signatures calling on him to sign on as a cosponsor of Medicare for All in
Congress.
Following that event, several local TV stations dedicated entire segments
to our campaign – naming Rep. Soto, showing our action, and amplifying our
demand for him to co-sponsor the Medicare for All Act.

Soto. Can you help keep up the momentum and help us call on Darren Soto to
do the right thing by sharing this news clip on social media?

By organizing actions like this, we’re able to generate a wave of pressure
that can be amplified in the media and get the attention of our
representatives. And we know this plan is working
— this clip ran a total of
13 times across three local TV stations. This is exactly the kind of local
campaign that we know works. We just have to keep it up.
More national attention from across the country is vital to carrying our
momentum across the finish line. [ [link removed] ]Please help make our demand to Rep.
Soto loud and clear by amplifying this news segment and together we can
secure another co-sponsor of Medicare for All.
Grateful to you all,
Candis Roby
