It’s time for a victory lap.

No, we didn’t conquer the gun control zealots that run the political kingdom in California, but we sure as heck put a big chink in their armor by killing two of the most anti-2A bills to be introduced this year.  Thank you to each and every one of you that took the time to contact your legislators about SB 918 (CCW restrictions) and AB 1227 (excise tax) because both bills died a spectacular death last week. The anti-gun rage that followed the SCOTUS decision - and the death of these bills - will be even more vicious when the Legislature returns in January, but we have a solid breather to pursue court rulings that could shut them down. 

Check out GOC’s rundown “Big End of Session Wins for the Second Amendment” and all that happened in the final hours HERE .  The AP story below on the “tactical error” that prevented passage of SB 918 is certainly an interesting read too but it’s important to remember that GOC was at the Capitol monitoring the situation, strategizing with staff on both sides of the aisle to make sure lies about the bills didn’t get traction.  It worked.

And SURPRISE, SURPRISE! The big tech shutdown of all things gun related has hit GOC.  After ten years of using the Square to handle mobile financial transactions at our events, WE HAVE BEEN TERMINATED because they say we violate their “terms of agreement.”  We clearly are NOT in violation (we don’t sell guns) and we are prohibited from appealing.  This is yet another sucker punch to the responsible and law abiding.  A pro-2A vendor will be getting our business…
