John, the greatest joy and honor of my life has been being a mother.

One of the parts of motherhood that always makes me so proud – and often brings a tear to my eye – is watching my kids do things that they weren't sure they could do. All of my children are fierce, and none of them take kindly to being underestimated. My heart just soars when I see them meet a challenge with a fire in their belly and take any obstacle head-on.

That's who I raised my kids to be – fierce, fearless, and independent. In other words, Missourians.

The people of Missouri are tough. We love to prove the naysayers wrong, and we'll fiercely take on anything that stands in our way or threatens the people we love. That's the type of person I raised my kids to be – just like my parents raised me.

You see, my family has lived here for many generations. We're Missourians through and through. I know this state and these communities like the back of my hand. That’s why when Washington, D.C., insiders claim that Missouri can't be flipped, I say, "You don't know this state like I do."

I know my state is ready to reject power-hungry career politicians who want to force their way into our exam rooms, undermine our democracy, and deny families their shot at their American Dream. Missourians are ready for compassionate, tough, and honest leadership. I see it at every whistle-stop, every meet and greet, and every parade.

Trust me on this: Missourians are going to prove the naysayers wrong on Election Day. We're going to embrace kindness, integrity, a dedication to real change, and everything that makes us so proud to be from the Show Me State.
