Natural cycles, good moisture give birds a boost

CHEYENNE ? Sage grouse lek attendance remains steady according to data from the Wyoming Game and Fish Department lek counts this spring. In 2022, lek attendance was up slightly at 6% over last year. The appearance of more birds at leks is thought to be due to the natural population cycles of sage grouse combined with good moisture that benefited habitat.?


Game and Fish Commission to meet in Buffalo

BUFFALO ? The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission?s next meeting is Sept. 13 -14? in Buffalo. The meeting will be held at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center, 63 North Burritt Ave. The public is invited to attend in-person or online via ZOOM video conferencing and will have a chance to speak to the Commission on any matter.
